Anyone have any idea what size on winter tyre's to use ? In the manual it says to use the same size provided with the car 205/45/17. However the tyres on the car are 215/45/17

I'm not sure to be honest but I'm guessing you could just get some more in the same size as the ones that are on there already.

Do we need winter tyres in the uk?

They are worth every penny in my eyes.....


Suppose the issue with the Abarth is getting a wheel to go over the caliper unlike the normal GP or evo will a 15" steelie fit?

My sporting was useless last winter (came with Bridgestone Potenza) so I ended up going for some snow socks. Amazing improvement.

205s ar e the width of the tyre on the option wheels and esseesse wheels i beleive, the standard claw wheels are 215s.

I never beleive anything my handbook tells me anymore

Thanks going to order some in 215 as that's whats on the car, found a set of 4 on the net for £280 fitted which isn't too bad Ahhhh Yes winter tyres are needed, VXR was UN-driveable last winter and managed to shred 2 £160 tyres on the snow/ice. Seen in the manual the abarth has some anti slip thing built in to it, which activates when driving in normal mode, which stops you slipping about so much
