Is it possible to buy a cheap mp3 or old windows phone that I can just play mp3 tracks through? Could anyone recommend a model?

If I did buy an up-to-date windows phone would it be compatible with my 06 grande punto?

Also has anyone bought the ipod adaptor from ebay and does it work WELL?

Up until a few weeks ago I just used a flash drive and put some MP3 tracks on it which works well and is convenient. I've not long bought the blue and me adapter for my iPhone which I had been putting off because it's pretty pricey at about £60. I don't regret it though, playing music is a million times more convenient and it also charges my phone.

If you are looking for a phone that has complete compatibility with all functions, don't get your hopes up... most phones are fine but its very rare to find a phone that is compatible with the text message reading function.
