Hello, everyone. I'm new here. I own a GP abarth, 2009 model
What I've already fitted on my Abarth, is an
Intercooler,
Exhaust from dp (63,5),
Blow off Valve,
and a re-map. I believe with all these, my Abarth is around 190hp.
The problem is that there're never enought. I was thinking about buying the garrett 1446 ( gp abarth ss turbo ) to get a few more hp in a kinda safe way.
What I would like to ask is this.
1) Do u think with the current set up, the car is safe?
2) Will garrett fit w/o any further modifications?

I doubt you will be hitting 190 with these mods. The ihi turbo is rated for about 180 i believe. The problem with buying the garret is that you need a fair amount of pipe work to go with it and it isnt an easy job.
For example i have the esseesse kit with the garret and its got uprated fuel rail, injectors etc from factory.

Well I guess the cost is going to be too high, so it's not an option anymore. I'll be rebuilding my turbo soon, so i might fit other components into ihi.

if you can get hold of the downpipe and manifold the turbo swap would be easy.. good luck getting hold of one though! unless buying new of corse..

you say you have a remap already? then surely you have read outs from the RR or was it a man in a van map? with a guestimate bhp..
