It's a simple enough DIY job. I payed about £50 for an OEM rear bearing and changed it in about two hours at a leisurely pace.

Cuz i can be arsed to do that :L

Depends where you plan on taking it then.
The rear wheel bearing comes as a hub.
Costs about £35 - £60 depending whether you buy a genuine or pattern part.
Labour to do the job is probably an hour, but you might get bent over and charged for 2.

Dealers will want about £70 per hour, back street about £30 and a mate a few pints.

So anywhere from £35 (and a few beers) to £220

I'd pay a garage to do with the fronts but the backs are childs play. Only slightly harder than changing a wheel!

Ahhh fair. If its not too hard may as well have a go myself and save some ridiculous labour charges ! Anyone recomend a place to purchase (not ebay) hate it with a passion

I tend to use Euro car parts there's some awesome discount codes available with a quick Google search ;-)

I shop at GSF, as with euro always lots of offers and discount codes to be had. Just google GSF CAR PARTS round here they tend to have more In stock than euro but I'm sure it's very area dependent

If you attempt this yourself, then tools required are quite minimal.

Wheel brace and jack to remove the wheel.
Axle stands or some other safety device, unless you like living dangerously.

Only a few spanners to remove the brake caliper, probably 10mm, 13mm and 17mm.
A torx driver to remove the two silly screws which retain the disc.

I think the nut which holds the hub is 32mm
A big f-off cracker bar, torque wrench or steel pipe for leverage.

The hub will slide off without the need for a bearing puller.

32mm and breaker bar are the most uncommon tools rest should be in a basic tool kit . I got a 32mm socket and breaker bar for £9 delivered on eBay .
