I have just got a Vreg 41k mile Seicento 1.1 Sporting for my wife as a first car. The car is fine except for the fact that the gear "stick" has a lot of play in it. I know the history of the car. I know both previous owners. In fact I have not got the car yet. There is no problem with actual gear selection. I just wondered if anyone would know how to go about firming it up a bit and reducing the play. I heard somewhere once that there was a plastic bushing in there somewhere and it wore down quite quickly. Any advice at all would be appreciated.

yeh i have the same problem the plastic mount under the gaiter has snapped i am in the prosess of finding a new one. just give yours a look and see if its the same thing mine has snapped in one corner the whole thing is wobbling
