....and I'm really delighted overall. Despite only receiving one set of keys from the dealer....still waiting for the missing ones.
I was expecting to have stop/start and a chilled glove box but this didn't happen but I'm not really bothered.

Love the interior look and also being pretty tall, I have to say the leg room's fantastic.

The car feels heavy and solid to drive after a Panda. Hill start assist seems to work sometimes but not always. The electronic handbrake had me worried at first after using a manual for 30 years, but after realising it could just be pulled on then releases automatically, I have to say I really like it.... even if it does sound like the landing gear on a plane being lowered!

The joys of getting a brand new car.... makes me smile every time I get in.

John, glad you are pleased, I'm liking my used example too.
Mine has the chilled glovebox and s/s, and I must admit I wouldn't miss them if it didn't. But I am curious - my s/s can be disabled by a round button on the dash, to the right of the hazard flasher button. What's there on your car?
Oh, and the hill hold needs a fair gradient to work, same on our other car (Suzuki) too.

There isn't on mine. The only time it comes on automatically is when you turn off the engine. If anyone that has this feature can describe how to enable it please share. (It may be different outside the UK).

Are you sure? All 500x have the electronic parking brake. Is there no option in the settings screen to turn on "auto" brake.

I've been all thyrough the settings this morning and I can't find that option.

Where does it normally sit? As I have auto transmission maybe it only has the Enabled setting so nothing to turn off?

I believe that it only comes on when the engine is switched off and doesn't apply itself with the engine running.

I'm not sure about the Hill Start, I don't think this turns the Auto Brake on, simply applies it for a second when on a gradient, but could be wrong as not even sure if mine is working correctly seems very random..

Do all models have hill hold as I've never noticed anything like that working on my pop star [emoji53]

That's how it works, comes on when you switch off or put in park if auto then auto releases when you pull away. Hill start works when on a slope and you start to pull away. When stopped on a hill I keep my foot on the brake then when it's time to move off, pull away and car does not roll back giving you about 2secs to move off.

That's why mine never comes on automatically during driving - mine's a manual.
Hill hold does seem to need a fair gradient to operate. I was convinced our Suzuki didn't have it for weeks, until I gave it a try on a steepish slope up to a level crossing. The Fiat is the same.

When I first had it I used to pull the switch whenever I stopped which was a bit of a pain due to the time it took to come on.Now I just keep my foot on the brake when I stop either on a hill or flat. I haven't found a need to touch the brake switch since.

I don't seem to have those options, mine just seems to be permanently on Auto with no menu setting for turning it off. My menu doesn't look quite like yours either. Bizarre

Seems odd.....Sounds like Fiat might have changed some options in the menu then.Mine is a 2015 pop star model.

I had a computer update when the car had its first service.....could an update be a solution?
