I've noticed that on a base 500x that it has 103kW and 230nm with a 1.4 multijet engine. What differences would they make to the car to bump that up to the 125kw and 250nm (which is in the highest model) with a 1.4 multijet engine, do they just remap the ecu or is there a number of changes they would do? I doubt that it would be a different engine and am sure other people are curious as to this question aswell

The 1.4 engine in the 500x is the multiair engine.
In the manual gearbox version 2 wheel drive it is
140 bhp.
In the auto version with 4 wheel drive i belive it is
170 bhp.
This is just a software change/remap and no additional
engine changes as far as i know.
A tmc or bluespark box should give an upgrade
to similar output of 170 bhp when fitted to a 140 bhp
engine.
