General The age-old question... Petrol vs Diesel

Yes, I was very careful to ensure that the correct type of oil was used in my 500 - once it was out of warranty my trusted indy serviced it with oil that I provided. It used a negligable amount between changes, but I shall keep a close eye on the 500X.
I shall also run it on V-Power Nitro Plus fuel, as the additives in this are supposed to help keep injector systems etc. clean. As my mileage is quite low, the extra cost is not significant.

Really? No 3rd year warranty?

I've had that already, though I got no real use out of all three years warranty, nothing like that has gone wrong, apart from sticky rear brakes and I sorted those out myself rather than wait 3 weeks to get it in the dealers.

Mine's a 14 plate, so it's 3 years old now.

I will have to remember to sing happy birthday to it later!

I've never seen one on a 14 late, didn't realise they'd been around for 3 years [emoji23][emoji23]

I have a 500x Cross Plus 1.6 mjd. It is a year old now and I never touched trip B from new so in its first year -

40 450 miles
40 mph average speed
62.7 miles per gallon
1 000 hours of driving

Best mpg 62.7 mpg Full to empty.

I changed the oil & filter after 5 000 miles and then every 10 000 miles.
