Hi,

I am currently looking at purchasing a fiat 500x cross plus but im confused at which sat nav should come at standard on this model, I have viewed some with the 5inch and some with the 6.5inch. Which is standard in the cross plus as when i look on fiat website it states 6.5inch so im unsure as to why some have the 5 inch version?

Any info would be great
Thanks

Cross Plus came with 5" standard and 6.5" as an upgrade originally and changed with the current 16/17 model year to 6.5" with DAB.

You don't say if the car is new or used, if it's new I'd been looking for a big discount if it's not the current model year. In fact bar the head unit I don't think there's much difference, the only other one I can think of is that the space saver spare was standard originally and if you wanted extra boot space instead you had to order the car with a mobility kit however now it's the other way round.

Mine's a 15 plate car with 5" which is just fine, DAB would have been nice but I just use Uconnect with the TuneIn app to get DAB stations, so no major loss.

Surprisingly there are advantages to having the 5" Nav unit. It is user-updatable via USB stick, software and maps, whereas the 6.5" unit is dealer-updatable.

The maps are slightly different but in reality they probably perform comparably, the 6.5" unit is being changed over to TomTom maps anyway.

Thanks for the responses, makes sense as its a late 2015 car that I am looking at buying.

Mine is a September 2015 Lounge - I think the equipment level is similar to the Cross Plus. Mine has the 5" display with Tom Tom sat nav, and although small compared with some other car's displays, is just fine.
