Hi everyone. I'm picking up my new 500x pop star on Thursday and was just wondering what capacity USB drive I can play through the 5 inch UConnect or is it just phones you can plug in via USB.

I've been using a 16GB USB stick and just moving to a 64Gb SD card.
Only thing to watch out for is that the SD card needs to be Fat32 format.

I'm using a 64GB USB stick (button), no bother at all, no need to format, just copied iPod playlist from iTunes via Freemake Audio (changed to WM files as Fiat use microsoft) on the USB stick works beautifully.

Same here using a 32GB stick with music ripped from windows media player

Fantastic! Time to get all the old CDs onto a USB stick! The wife will be pleased to see the back of the CDs!

Up to 64 gig uses FAT32 file format so the 500x internal reader can see the files, above this size ExFAT file format is used which is not readable by the 500x so by reformatting the SD card or USB drive back to FAT32 it can then be read.

SD card readers and computers have been able to read above 64 gig for approx 10 years so shows how dated hardware is in the 500x!
