Driving yesterday my Fiat 500x lounge 1.4 multiair to motorway, Uconnect 5 Live displayed a strange message of "Emergency alert". I just pushed the X symbol in the Uconnect screen and it disappeared. No messages also displayed in the relative menu in the central monitor in front of the wheel.

However, I am still worried what was this message all about. Does anybody faced a similar situation or knows what caused that?

All new radios come with an subfrequency which overrides what you are listening to give you emergency messages (tsunami warnings, etc).

Unfortunately, I've noticed that some people are taking advantage of that and try to use it for advertising and/or playing their radio frequency on top of the competition.
