Any views / ideas / hacks

Ignoring trim the 500X City Pop Star and 500X Cross are essentially the same with exception of Traction+

I've spent some time measuring the City vs Cross side by side in a dealers show room and all ground clearances are the same and there are no extra additional skid plates/defenders on the Cross 4x2.

Net mechanical/functional difference is in the Drive Mood settings.

City has Sport - Auto - All Weather
Cross has - Sport - Auto - Traction

When we go to Italy every year, up in to the mountains, some of the more off beat roads / tracks have really only presented real issues with ground clearance. We have survived with a Croma 2005 and Stilo Abarth with their standard traction control which the 500X City Pop Star has.

Whilst we would love full off road capability of a full 4x4 for the one trip a year the cost/expense is not justified. This just leaves the standard low speed traction control/anti-wheel slip or Fiats Traction+.

So is Traction+ a real deal seller?

I would hate to Choose Traction+ at more expense when it is just a braking system/ABS ECU software difference/bit flip setting hack.
