My 2008 500 lounge has a roller blind for the fixed roof. On hot days like today it works perfectly – the roller has the normal spring tension and it goes backwards and forward as it should.
As soon as it gets colder it stops working ! I don’t mean proper cold, just less than 20C . What then happens is it looses the spring tension and will only go back about half way. It isn’t sticking at all, if you feel inside the roof for the roller that all still turns freely – it’s just lost its spring so doesn’t pull the blind back.
I really don’t understand what is happening, it’s not sticking so how come the tension only works in hot weather ??!!
