im considering a 500l trekking,a low mileage second hand vehicle and with the 1.3 dual logic box as my wife can only use a automatic due to an ankle injury..

couple of questions...

any particular issues with the model i need to be aware of?

whats the real mpg on average that owners are achieving?

i appreciate it wont be a fireball and it wont be purchased for that reason obviously but is the performance adequate?

thanks in advance

We have that model , the gearbox is fine just don't rush it when changing from forwards to reverse etc.
Performance is pretty good for a 1.3 , fuel figures nowhere near the published around town, we are getting high 30s but live in a hilly area . On a run have managed 60 over a 200 mile run taking it steady.

It's a comfortable ride with plenty of space.

Hopefully won't suffer typical fiat problems of the past electrically but time will tell.

Some bargains out there for year old low mileage cars.

thats quite an improvement on out current automatic diesel anyway

whats the performance feel like on the road?.......not expecting it to be rapid but it needs to be able to cope with family holidays to the lakes etc from the midlands with some luugage and two spaniels on board

Its quite quick in 2nd and 3rd acceleration wise and with just us 2 it can keep up easily on the motorways .

Not sure what it will be like fully laden but we are happy enough .
