Hi everybody,

I am new here. I own a 2014 Fiat 500 Large and I have recently had my car in for repairs because the clutch broke due to a radial spring being unevenly worn - this was put through warranty. The dealership (a franchise - and they are a very helpful franchise - have been with them for nearly 10 years) told me I needed new brake pads, brake discs and tyres. I knew about the pads and tyres and didn't think much of having to get new discs fitted too - until the bill came: £121.00 per disc. I priced brake discs on the internet and they come up between £20.00 and £50.00? One of the staff told me because it was an official part. Does this sound correct to you: £327 + VAT (£392) for front pads and discs?

Thanks

Chris

Unfortunately that's the price you pay for going to a main agent. Try and find a local specialist ( usually an ex-mechanic who once worked for a main dealer ) or get a good set of tools , or a friend who likes tinkering.
