Hi, we recently brought a second hand 500L lounge. Love it :)
Its now out of warranty and we have just noticed a leak by the front door, passenger door, it comes in when it rains hard.
It appears to come in from near the wing mirror, the seal looks ok, not sure where to start? Should I just rub some silicone grease along the seals for now and see what happens?
I read a thread about adjusting the door but that's a bit too much surely?
Everything seems aligned?
Not sure where to start.....appreciate any help.
Cheers.

hi, and welcome to FF:)

not sure if it's a common issue, but detecting the path of water leaks usually takes a bit of time / effort,
personally - I'd spend 20 minutes shutting some kitchen towel ( paper) in the door frame, then walk around and train a hose / watering can at the door area.

an assistant sat in MAY help.. but as you're only wetting the passenger door, then you can sit in the drivers seat and inspect periodically..,;)

the towel will change form if it's got wet..,
talc can be even better at pinpointing leaks.. but obviously has potential to make more mess.., try the paper 1st /over a broader area.

have fun..and let us know what you find..,(y)

I've got exactly the same problem on the driver's side of my 500L MPW. Also just out of warranty...

Water leaking in around the wing mirror, running down the inside of the door.

Did you manage to locate the source of the leak?

Hi,

water inside the doors shouldn't be a problem IMO, the doors should be constructed in a way that water can flow out without entering the passenger compartment.
On my previous car (a Citroen) I had once the issue that the holes designed to let the water flow out were clogged from dirt. Maybe this is a similar issue ...
You could also use baby powder to track the water flow.
