Hi I have had a long conversation with fiat customer care and Georga looked into the free serviceing and she said it has never been offered and the document on this thread was not thier material.It may have been offered by a dealer but fiat customer care know nothing of it.Dominic wood said he would forward me a formal email that I could post but all he sent me was the details of my £400 service plan.

Hi As i said long repeated calls to Fiat customer care and yes she does work for Fiat but Fiat customer care say they have never offered this package, give them a ring and ask for Georgia.

Final update : the three years are up now so I can now speak freely . Fiat negotiated on my behalf and after some resistance ,the dealer refunded the service plan . I reckon it might be a case of communication issues . Maybe the dealer knew about the free servicing and saw an opportunity or maybe they genuinely did not know .Caveat emptor.
