SOME of the delivery miles will actually be under it's own power,
up to @200 miles can be "wiped" by supplying dealer

I work in a fiat dealer and all the cars from walon are delivered by stobart
I also worked for a Fiat dealer and as Simon said, the transporters usually say 'Walon' on them but the logistics system I had access to was Stobart
Most of them land by ship at Portbury Docks near Bristol & are transported from there. Think a few come into a port on the East (Anglia) Coast, but most seem to be from Portbury

Thanks, I bought my car nearly 5 weeks ago and when I bought it they said it had just arrived in the country and that it would be 2 -3 weeks. Apparently the dealers are having problems with the logistics company and they are not being told what the problem is just that it will be on the next transporter but they don't know when that will be. I was supposed to be going on holiday on Sunday and looking forward to driving my new car. Looks like I will be cancelling the holiday.

Believe it or not what your dealer is saying is unfortunately 100% true.
I am having bother with a 500L MPW that i ordered from walon which was status 40 8 weeks ago, usually when its status 40, its around 3-4 weeks away, then jumps to staus 50/55 which is when we can request it.
When we request, the car is ususlly here within 7-10 working days max.
My car arrived on friday, customer picked up this morning. It just appeared.
The problem we have now, is as soon as it goes to staus 50, stobart automatically allocates the car to a transporter whereas before, we had to ask for it to be transported to the dealer. My car arrived and it didnt/ hasnt yet shown on stobarts page where we can view eta's for the car, even though the customer now has the car.
Fiat/ stobart logistics are ****e.

Thanks that explains a lot. I wish my dealer had explained it like that. I feel bad for pestering them all the time but it is agony no knowing. I actually called Walton today. And they said it had been released by paragon yesterday and it should be delivered on Monday or Tuesday, so I could get a few days of my holiday.
