What was at the top of your shopping list?

In our case the wife and I were between a Renault Captur (her) and a 500C (me), but the announcement of impending Grandparenthood forced us to look bigger so it was between Renault Scenic (me) and the 500L (her), with hindsight I'm happy I gave in!

At the time we bought ours we weren't particularly looking for such a large car, a smaller 5 door hatch would have sufficed. So we looked at and/or test drove, the Kia Rio, Hyundai i20, iX20, Venga, Renault Clio, Peugeot 208, Ford Fiesta.

In the end the deal being offered on the 500L was too good to resist so we went for that.

Interestingly it's worked out quite well because e since buying it we too have discovered we are to become grandparents so we are really pleased we got the slightly bigger vehicle.

Not sure I really count at the moment as "in the process of buying one" but the wife and I have not looked for anything else since seeing the 500L inside a French supermarket last year, we have only really decided on changing now as 2 door is getting a bit of a hassle for the kids getting in and out of.
