Has anyone updated their maps via USB? I`m slightly wary of doing it in case I totally screw the whole system up.

I did it a couple of months ago on our 2016 facelifted model. Very easy to do if you follow the instructions. But be aware it takes around 30-40 mins to install the new maps and you need the ignition on all the time.

Make absolutely sure that your battery is fully charged before you begin this procedure. Don't switch the ignition off until the upgrade process is complete.

Losing power in the middle of an upgrade has bricked many electronic devices.

Likewise I went to TomTom to get the update and then was guided to the Mopar site for my 7" uconnect satnav. It took a very long time to download the maps, a very long time to extract the maps from the zip files, a very long time to copy them to the 16Gb SD card and then a very long time to update. Just having the radio on isn't enough as the radio switches off at around 10 mins. You can sit in the car and keep Turing the radio on when it shuts down and this does resume the update if you are quick enough. It took me about 8 attempts! And there are very few manuals available for this model. Anyone help with a manuals link please?
