Hello,

I've a question about the SatNav on my 500 (UConnect 7" HD version). When I open the SatNav, by default it show a bird's eye view, basically the whole of Suffolk, where I live.

My question is: is there a way to set the SatNav to show the map from the current location (as in navigation mode) by default, without the need of pressing the any button on the map?

If this question has already been asked, please do point to the appropriate thread.

Hello I'll have a look at my wife's later today as I can remember her mentioning something like this and I think there is a way of doing this, but I need to have a play first

Ok I've had a play with the map. From the main navigation screen click on the circle with four dots, scroll across and tap the circle with cog and select appearance. At the bottom of that menu you can select 3d. Unfortunately what I have just discovered once you've been away from the car for a while the main map will default to overhead ?. But as long as the setting is left on 3d all you need to do is tap the arrow above the + - button on the main map screen and it will drop into drive mode. Hope that is of some help

I checked all settings as you suggested and my car is set just as you said. I guess I’ll have to get used to press the arrow button to get out of the overhead view.
