Warts and all. I made a couple of faux pas along the way, but this is how you change a door handle on the Fiat 500.

This is the drivers door, but it's exactly the same for the passenger door.

Hey, my drivers side handle has come off at the side hinge, my passenger side did it last year too. Last year I took it to Fiat to fix but cost a fortune so hoping I’d be able to buy the part and have my boyfriend fix it.

I’ve seen a few posts on here about this but wanted to go on the most recent in case the parts have changed. Do you have a link to the correct repair kit please?

Note different handles for remote central locking/non remote and diesel cars and "gt" and need to add vat, can get cheaper on Ebay but these are guaranteed to fit.

One I sold a while ago to a neighbour has just had the hinge go, so I’ll be doing one next week probably. Fiddly job but easy enough. I’ll film it when I do it.

Thank you. I’ve booked it onto fiat for Saturday morning, £77.76 all in. ? too scared to attempt it ourselves but a wee video if you’re next doing one and we’ll definitely attempt it next time (hopefully not a next time).

Any idea how often these hinges go? My cars an 11 plate and since I got the car 19 months ago I’ve had the passenger go last August 16, now drivers. Hopefully they’ll last the rest of the time I have the car.

I never did film it and have done quite a few since. It's on my list of videos to do. Next time, definately will.
