Hi Guys,

Did an oil change on the daughters car a few weeks ago and found this. Slight leak on the exhaust down pipe where it turns through 90 and meets the straight section.

She's living with it but its driving me mad:bang:. If i take this off to have a look am i going to break something?? Or is this a common fault and replacing / re positioning of the clamp will fix?

Anybody had this issue before??

Get someone to hold a rag over the tailpipe (Get a bit more creative if it has an oval shiny one) and have a feel for the blow. Mine yourself though as it gets a bit toasty at the noisy end.

Hi my twin air long middle box has two drain holes at either end and both are sootes uplike in the pic mine pops farts all day a bit like a briggs and straton mower..

Most exhausts have drain holes these days, and they generally collect quite a bit of soot; it can fool some folks into thinking there's a fault with the system when there isn't.

Here is a picture of a drain hole, from this thread.
