Thanks Charlie It's a 2012 Been fighting with it all morning Unfortunatly video does not apply to mine. Got 2 bracket bolts out but still tight are there more, where? Car sat all winter & alt seized Hoping I can replace bearings Thanks again
Looks like I have to remove AC compressor to get at bolt. Any ideas on this? Cliff
Thanks Charlie I have done that. Beginning to wonder if anyboby has done this & lived to tell about it CliffI would post in the tech talk section.
We have a few FIAT dealer level people on here who should have done this..if only in a training centre.
Charlie
Finally figured it out. Do not remove bracket. Reach waaay down & behind to take out top bolt -gotta feel , then take off bottom 2. Took off tie rod strut, axle nut, pulled axle out enough & to one side to let alternator drop. Can't get new one in. Looks like may have to remove axle. Any suggestions? Axle is firmly seated in tranny. Thanks
