IMG_6714.JPG yes take a twin air sport, add a metallic paint, a dualogic gearbox, steering wheel gear change paddles, leather seats, 16" alloys, interscope sound system, electrochromic dipping rear view mirror, and every other option available except for a sun roof and you get an £18k car. It's actually very nice and I have been very happy with it! New shocks all round six months ago with drop links and top mounts and it drives better than it did new.

If it suits you and you are getting enjoyment then that is all that matters.

I can only look at my new acquisition £6K on the road but I keep adding little bits and pieces for the fun of it.

Nice! Identical to my TA S in spec other than mine is manual with electric roof and I went for the bicolour 15's! On the subject of Dualogic, I drove a mates Abarth MTA over the weekend, it was a first for me but the MTA was surprisingly nice particularly in manual mode with the paddles. I'm not sure if the hardware is the same as a dualogic in terms of having a beefier actuator or whatever but the software is sharper I gather, either way it was lovely to drive.

My Other vehicle is Piaggio Ape 200, Vespa engine 4 stroke 200cc, 4 FWD gears and 1 reverse. 2 Gall tank which gives me 100 miles, top speed 40mph. Full aircon (i.e.open sides) Lap straps in rear to carry up to 3 passengers.

Multicoloured, flashing LED's in roof lining. Cradle for SatNav and iPhone. Blue tooth Speaker to pair with iPhone and a hardwired Dash Cam.

12v Socket foe charging purposes.

Motor Cycle LED daytime running lights and 2 auxiliary brake light LED Pods.

1 x lockable glove box and a lockable storage box.

Shame I cannot get this one chipped, but who knows Indian technology may facilitate it in the future.

They are all MTA boxes (manual transmission automated) - The Abarth gets a similar Selespeed unit on the beefed up manual gearbox. It shifts the same way as a TwinAir Dualogic with paddles - Quick through the gears in manual using the paddles - slower and more relaxed in Automatic. Sport and Eco mode reprogram the automatic box in both cars.

On the various examples I have driven, the option of the paddles on the Dualogic cars, makes the gear changes smarter/quicker. Where as the standard Dualogic set up seems to hesitate longer through the change ups.
Change ups in manual mode using the paddles is instant!

The Magneti Marelli mechatronic units are fitted to Ferrari, Aston Martin, Lamborghini and Audi and developed for F1 racing in the 1980's.
It is not an auto gearbox, it's a manual assist system bolted to the top of the gearbox and other makes of mechatronic units are fitted to commercial vehicles.
They give longer clutch life and more M.P.G.
