I have just bought a 500c petrol Auto 2013. When I start driving all is fine. When I brake moderately I get a warning beep, the hill stop warning light comes on as well as the general warning light. These stay on till I stop and the start the car again. I have seen posts about brake switch faulty but nothing as specific as I have....any ideas?

I also have searched the issue and came up with brake light possibility, but nothing definitive. My trusted garage kept scratching their heads and said they can investigate (hours of labour for investigation with no guarantee of resolve...) Got so annoyed I've sold the car I wish you all the luck in finding the fault!
