Hi,
When I'm driving my Fiat 500 to unknown destinations I use my Android phone as satnav. I connect a USB cable to the default port to charge the phone in the process.
However, I noticed that this charger is too slow to charge a phone that is using too much power, i.e. with GPS, data and screen on as required for maps navigation. Apparently it provides only 1A. Consequently, the battery continues to discharge even though it says it's connected and charging. In one occasion the battery went completely flat when I was driving out of Birmingham on the dreaded spaghetti junction, of all places.
Does anyone had similar problem?
Can I circumvent this problem if I use a 2A USB cigarette lighter adaptor instead of the original USB Blue&me port?
Thank you.
