As some of you will remember, my current Cat D car which is now finished had a new digital speedo put in by me recently and the mileage on the replacement speedo was 5,000 miles.

Before I took the car for its MoT today, I used MultiECUScan to increase the mileage to match the speedo I took out.

Here's a video of me doing it.

I drove it to and from the body shop. So that extra 4 miles must be the journey there and back,

MES does say that you can't put it to 99,999 and wait for it to go to zero. It says that doesn't work! I wonder what it does instead.

is the ECU count in Miles ..or KM..??

from memory our 2001 car said @60,000 but speed read 38,000

TBH - I'll have to interrogate one of the other FIAT's ,
and see how the relationship is..

Probably stay on just under a million miles?
That's what I thought it might do.
I wonder why it might do it?
Perhaps there's no limit, and the readout digits get smaller?

There's no way that a 500 would do a million miles, but if it were Kms, it would be much less than a million miles!

1,000,000 Kilometres is only 621,371 Miles

What we need, is someone with a spare 500 to set the odometer to max, then go for a drive.

Anyone fancy it?
Mick.
