I've had a mooch around and can't find the exact answers to what I'm looking for, so here goes.

I'd like to personalise our new purchase to have a little more individuality.

1) The daytime driving lights appear to also be my high beam.... whilst the normal headlights and indicators are in the same unit. Seems weird to me but is this normal?!

2) If this is the case has anyone successfully purchased some aftermarket lights and / or driving lights that were not a nightmare to fit and caused no electrical issues with the car? Also ensuring that all functions are still available! (any links appreciated)

3) Rear lights, I've seen some nice LED / smoked rear lights, are these sorts of units straight swaps, they seem simple enough to swap out, but has anyone replaced them and has additional wiring been required? A couple of the units I've seen seem to have the reverse and fog lights switched :(

4) Side repeaters. Has anyone changed and the same sorts of questions as above!

As I said, any links or photographs would be greatly appreciated. I've driven modified cars for 14 years so I know the usual aspects of notifying insurance etc, I also know modifications are not to everyone's taste, but we all have our own opinion of perfection!

Where possible in the past we've done many modifications ourselves. However, being completely new to Fiat I'm keen to learn from the experience of others.
Thanks in advance!

Normal

I fitted a lazer SR8, couple of brackets on the inner bumper beam peeking out of the nostril.

LHD have them swapped so be careful if buying from the (In)continent

Need to be Canbus compliant

The lower lamp unit has two bulbs.
The upper one is a dual filament, like the stop/tail bulb, but is 5w/10w. The 10w is the DRL, and it changes over to the 5w when the headlights are turned on, or if turned on for parking.
The lower bulb is a 55w halogen for the main beam, so is a separate lamp, within the same housing.
Bulbs are accessed from the wheelarch behind little covers. Make sure yours are there. They can get lost allowing muck and water to get into the lamps.

I agree apart from the DRL bulb is 21w/5w or at least on our 59 plate
