Hey guys, looking to replace the DRLS on my 2015 500s, theyre a little drab and the colour makes me tear up as its not bright.

I was wondering if you could suggest some good ones that are nice, white and bright.

As well as some links maybe? Im not into LED's and resisters as Im not that fond of mucking around with electrics.

But all suggestions and pics and links welcome!

Also just checking if the DRL's are T10's or T20's?

If you want a whiter colour have you considered these LED direct replacement?

Your item would be an easy upgrade, Osram do a similar bulb but not in this size that's also blue tinted and halogen that do give off a whiter light(still nothing like LED) an last forever so maybe no more DRL replacements so would consider this route? pity I can't find them here, blue tinted yes but not halogen-and that's the key to long life.

Unlikely to over heat but yes will send errors up on the dash you're right, bit of looking and have found Halogen/blue here on Ebay but there's very few choice

From what I've gathered "standard" bulbs or turned off!

It's all to do with legality.
Fitting non-standard bulbs is against the vehicle and lighting regulations.

Many of these LED replacements, say they are for off-road use only.

If you do fit something against the rules, you must tell your insurance people to make sure they are happy. If you modify your vehicle in any way, your insurance could well be invalid and you could be breaking the law.

Different rules may apply in different jurisdictions of course.

I buy blue bulbs on eBay, they are very bright and a nice white light, not that horrible yellow glow. Make all the difference and only £4.99

Have you got a picture of them on to see what they are like as I quite fancy those.

I haven't put them in my current one yet, but I will do next week, so I'll take some pics.

Will these Xenon bulbs last longer than the standard ones?

No idea, only time will tell

I've just got some similar, these say halogen blue glass not dipped, will put some pics on when I've fitted them possibly tomorrow, in theory halogen/xenon should last longer due to the lack of evaporation of the filament?

Here's my new ones before and after
