I will need to purchase a Blue and Me dongle to connect my iPhone to my 2010 500 pop, however, I am concerned that it is not compatible with my iPhone 7. Is this the case?

Sorry to be so thick, but I can connect the iPhone 7,through bluetooth, to the car and the display on the radio says blue and me. Does this mean that it already has B&M installed and won't need a dongle? Also, I can't play music, just use the phone functions, such as calls and texts.
The phone won't play music when connected to the USB either. I assume, to do this, I will still need the Blue & Me dongle to go through, even though the radio has Blue & Me for bluetooth. No, you can't use Blue&Me to play music over bluetooth because Fiat have chosen not to implement A2DP functionality into Blue&Me.
A great pity, as otherwise you could have used the car's ICE system as a remote speaker for essentially any app that would work with whatever phone you might have.
You should still be able to use Blue&Me for hands free calling, not sure if it'll work with text; some phones do, but most don't.
