I hate mudflaps on a 500
They're also not very effective on a 500, as that picture shows.

Went to a £3 euro car wash place this morning (I usually wash the car myself).
An over eager attendant has blew a hole thru the rear bumper with the power hose.
I noticed it when I got out to inspect the job. I had a go at the guy but he just looked back blankly. What can you do?!
The ott fix is a new rear bumper or the cheap 'solution' will be some sort of carbon effect vinyl 'diffuser' to act as cover.

Before and after.
I had a carbon effect vinyl area around the exhaust and running along the lower section of the bumper. The devil makes work for idle hands and I was bored one Saturday during the summer. With the black on black it didn't look bad and so I left it on.
He's gone and ripped the vinyl on the right, and on the rip on the top edge he's gone right thru the bumper. It's cracked in a semi circular shape right up to the next horizontal mould of the bumper and is also sitting proud.
The vinyl can (and will) be replaced, but the bumper is cracked! Grr.
Its not the worst damage ever but it's still annoying. Its not bad enough to change the bumper I don't think, so I'll just have to live with it.
I'll just have to fix the vinyl at the weekend and wash the car myself (or let my car valeting neighbour) do it.

My Marea Weekend had metallic paint and I was advised not to use my pressure washer as it would find the tiniest crack and peel the paint off !
