Hi, does anyone know the part no for a black wiper stalk unit for my 2008 1.3d 500.?
I'm changing the current one from ivory to a black one.
The ivory one part no is : 07354724640
I don't have access to fiat part numbers and don't want to hassle my local dealer.

See pic from the parts listing.
The top two are without the list of 'extras', the bottom two are 'with'.
PLA-808 is Black
PLA-734 is Ivory
My Eper is nearly two years old now, price then was £250. Ebay seems appropriate.
Seems easy, you just need to identify a unit for with or without the extras. The extras will include a button on the wiper stalk for the trip computer and the connections will include those for wheel buttons.

Spot on mate, thanks ?
Could you have a look for the steering wheel and airbag please. Mine has blue&me and steering wheel controls currently in ivory but obviously want it black.
I don't suppose you know if the steering wheel spline fitting has ever changed. Are they all the same.?

There are 18 different steering wheel part numbers. Very complicated. Sport was part leather, I think Lounge was too, but different to the Sport, then the auto may have had the option of paddles, as would the Abarth. All done with codes, so a lot of work to trawl through. Sorry, other things to do.
PM me your VIN. That will identify the correct one for the car, from which I can then see the alternative colour of the same spec.

However, this is just the wheel, the airbag unit is extra.

I think a breaker is the best bet, or from Ebay. If it looks like yours, but is the other colour, it should be what you need.

Spline fitting should all be the same. Although typecastboy has refurbed a few now after crashes, so he could be the one to talk to.

Thanks again, I've bitten the bullet and bought one that looks like what I want. It was the spline fitting I wasn't sure about.
Thanks again, just need to find an airbag now ?

I've taken off quite a few now. Steering wheels and airbags are interchangeable. You are better off buying the whole thing rather than just one stalk. You can pick them up on eBay. You have to take the bottom steering wheel cowel off (two screws)' then the top( 2 screws). Take the airbag out. Use a small flat head screw driver in the three slots at the rear of the steering wheel whilst gently pulling at the airbag. It's held on with 3 clips. Once released undo the electrical connections. The steering wheel itself sometimes has a thin nut with fins that wrap over 2 other nuts. You have to break off or bend over those fins to get a socket on the 2 nuts. Can be a job and a half. Once undone, just pull firmly and the wheel will come off. Mark the position of the central part of the coil spring with the outer section as it needs to go back in the same position. Unscrew that and the stalks and just lift out. Disconnect the earth terminal before doing any of this and make sure the Road wheels are in a straight line.

If you need to get a new airbag make sure you get the right one. Some have two plugs, some have one plug. You will have to take your old one off first to see which you need

The bottom steering cowel is very tricky to get back on. It's difficult to get the screws at the right angle. I have spent well over an hour just trying to get the two screws back in.

It's not difficult, just a bit fiddly.
