Finally took a photo of mine.
Actually, I had a good idea the other day. I tried silicone but it peels off very easily, so I've just applied a thick bead of black gutter sealant. It's thick and very sticky and remains soft ............ and very waterproof.

It's great stuff and you can clean up using white sprit.

My cottage cheese pot is now in the recycling bin.
