So today I bashed my fiat 500 when doing a 3 point turn and hitting a low wall that I didn't see :(

oh well, that's life.

But I damaged my rear bumper and it looks pretty bad. I've contacted a couple of local garages for quotes but they probably won't get back to me until tomorrow.

Could anyone give me some reassurance that this isn't going to be ridiculously expensive to fix :bang:

Have you contacted the owner of the wall, as if they have CCTV and contact your insurance before you do you could have problems.

Might be best to have a chat with them

I suspect he's not damaged the wall.

All body repair is costly, looks like you've bent the metal a little but a good body repair place will have no problems sorting those sorts of things out, even on the cheap expect to pay £300 for the bumper to be repaired and painted you have to factor in a damaged rear quarter panel and paint

I really wouldn't bother buying a new one. It's an easy job. Hopefully you know a fella that can help you. A genuine bumper from Fist would probably set you back £300 before painting g and fitting so it would, I think, be much more. They can be plastic welded if the damage isn't too bad, but by far the best and cheapest way would be eBay.

Ask a taxi driver where they get their cars done? Bumper is cheap to sort and you could leave the metal work for the time being however rust may start which you don't want people's estimate of £300-500 is probably right and expect it to be the higher figure. Maybe some cheap parking sensors? £20

Not meaning to hijack the thread, but some tea leaf scraped my left rear just to the left of the reflector on my black 500S a while ago whilst I was in Tesco. There is no structural damage, just a few nice scrapes and I was considering Chips Away to fix it up. However looking at those prices of rpl bumpers I had a mad idea of changing the entire thing (since there are also some cracks showing in the paint under the clear cost just under the boot bit).
