When my 1.3 mj needs a service will the dash let me know,the car is a 09,I've had it less than a year,it has a the major service done just before I got the car,I've had a service and plugs done on it 6 months ago sorry to be naive thanks in advance.

almost certainly..,

hopefully somebody will give further info,
but generally it'll be at a set period of time, or a certain mileage..
depending which comes 1st

Best to have an oil and filter change annually, or every 10,000 miles whichever soonest. If you've had new plugs, they presumably changed the glowplugs as it's a diesel?

Yes sorry,glow plugs,it also had oil change thank you both for your help

if you scroll the options on the 'puter using the menu on the bottom button on the right of the speedo/tacho display thingy an submenu SERVICE appears click and it will display miles to next service. Providing the last person who did a service reset the thing properly!
