right, now you've stopped giggling, the top half of our 500s gear knob has come loose.
it twists slightly and rattles.
how easy is this to sort?
car is in 3rd year warranty till August so I doubt this is covered

Ok, I've stopped giggling, but honestly, don't assume anything as far as the warranty is concerned. There were plenty of folk ages back saying this and that wasn't covered under warranty when in fact certain parts were. You've got zero to lose just popping by your local dealership and asking. I would. If they say no, then so be it, but if you don't ask you don't get.

cheers, my preconceptions about fiat warranties come from owning new fiats over the last 14 years, and the many problems I've had.
was thinking of popping up as the radio no longer receives a signal either.

You pop the chrome plastic bits off the sides and tighten the screws underneath. Easy fix.

I got a replacement leather seat and the boot wiring issue dealt with under the 3rd year of warrenty, as the others have said its worth asking!

My knobs loose too thought it was normal may have a look but not an issue just gathering all the parts to fix the front shockers as they've rusted through

It will only be the bolt under the cap working itself loose. Just need to insert a blunt (not sharp) thin plastic knife like tool to pop the cap off via the back of the gear knob between the plastic top half and the rubberised bottom half. The gear knob is in two halves, with the cap fixed with two plastic tabs that press into the lower part (one on either side) and then tighten the bolt (10mm) and pop the cap back on. It literally takes 5 minutes.
