Anyone used the PlugNgo its similar to the go pedal from madness 500/ pedalbox in germany. it alters the throttle control and im wondering if anyone has used it also it comes with lifetime warranty and is 399aud.
Interesting product, if you get one do tell!
I'm wondering if such a thing would fix the delay/flat spot in the take off?
Been discussed many times here already, it's massively overpriced tat.
Just modifies the signals from the throttle pedal so the ECU thinks the pedal is further down than it is.
I'd bet it's just a couple of op-amps.

im tossing up between getting it and not ive done a heap of research and it seems to be very good. alot of people say it a different car now.I've learnt to just give it a fun bootfull on take off, that silly flat spot is only a bother on occasions.
But when you least expect it, sometimes talking off up a gradient, it, as if, locks into the flat spot and crawls ahead like a snail on heat (very slow haha),causing OMG feelings.
Can be annoying this "normal"throttle response.

no way. ive asked a friend who can make this and he told me its alot more expensive to make itThe only reviews I found were on the makers website and they were all 5* (but they would be) My main worry would be safety, this can cause a throttle stick or runaway. Secondly it's way overpriced for what it is physically. Probably $20 of parts.

Just buy it would you, then we'll all be much happier lol
I don't mind my lead-foot fix for the flat spot, now it seems to be loosening up a little it's starting to enjoy a good rev!
I've only got a few minutes of traffic on my way home from work, most of the commute is fast and winding so the actual problem doesn't come up too often, when i drive it for fun on the weekends it's usually thru winding forest fun roads up in the hinterland, so I'm on the throttle most of the time anyway.
But, be good to know there's an additional fun thing one could attach.

this is what you get with the plug n go life time warranty, made in australia, same as maddness go pedal and pedalbox, a product that works and has been tested. say i got someone to make it im sure it will cost maybe around $200 maybe 300 i dont see it being say 100 bucks or so.He has no idea what he is talking about.

i just dont see it as 20 bucks i see it as more if its less then 399usd (500aud go pedal) (pedal box 400aud)(390aud plugngo) why do people buy it then?Wow who'd of thought they could cram a super computer into such a small thing
$20 tops, and worse than snake oil because snake oil doesn't do anything. Junk all day long.

i understand what your saying it just its my first mod and i though what i researched was enough seeing people on the fiat 500 forums from the states say its amazing etc. ive asked people who have used it say its alittle kick in the ass changes the car etc. but then alot of people say its rubbish. ive put my foot down and nothing happens even when i put it down faster still nothing happens my friends said before i buy the part i should go to the dealer and say something is wrong with the throttle and see if something is wrong with it.Thought I'd explain what these things do. this is confirmed by what little inforamion is on their website.
A "Fly-by-Wire" throttle, as used on modern cars, has an electronic sensor on the throttle pedal. This sensor (typically a potentiometer) produces a voltage proportional to the throttle position. Typically this is 0 to 5V with 0 being pedal up and 5V pedal fully down. All the box does is modify this signal so that (for sport mode) the signal for pedal down is produced when the pedal is (say 3/4 way down). While this seems to make the car more responsive (compared to the unit turned off) it's basically just waisting pedal travel and reducing the control you have. This may seem to help a delay because the enginge ECU thinks you've pushed the pedal further. In "eco" of manovering mode it make the full pedal travel signal (say) half throttle. this allows for easier control at low speeds and might just be the only useful thing it does. Of course many cars already do this, in a more advanced way, adjusting the pedal "sensitivity" with vecicle speed. The Plug n go does not know your speed. In practice, for safety reasons there are two channels on the pedal sensor. If one fails the ECU puts on a warning light, uses the other channel and may go into limp mode. I would be interested to know if the Plug N Go maintains this level of redundancy.
See the black car in my avitar? It did 763MPH and I designed the throttle safety cut-out for it (amongst other things) I do have some idea what I'm talking about.
