A check for a fault would be a good idea. If you have, or know someone with, diagnostics software like Multiecuscan It will allow you to look at the signal from the throttle pedal. This will let you see if it is increasing as soon as the pedal moves or if there is play or backlash in the linkage. It maybe that the throttle needs to be re-learnt, but I don't know the 500 system in that level of detail (I own a Croma Diesel).
It would also be worth checking if the engine ECU software is up to date.

Hi im taking it in next week my mirrors is slidding down and i have a crack in my light havent driven the car since i have no license. i have decided to order it after i take it to the dealer ship since im under new car warranty. Also dont want to waste my money now after you guys have said its so cheap to make would rather see if its my pedal. So ill be getting a k&n air filter as my first mod.
