Just found another thread that says the same - do you know where the sensor is located?

I ask because it seems to work randomly - I was sitting in traffic on the M25 this morning and the lights being on or off didn't correlate at all to the (apparent) ambient light around me. Knowing where the sensor is would help me figure out if it's working correctly (and tape over it!)

The sensor is just above the 95kph/60mph marking in the speedo cluster.

Wouldn't that have the opposite effect - lights going to minimum because the controller thinks it's dark ?

No, backlight dimming is done in the menu (headlights have to be on for it to appear). The sensor switches the speedo backlighting either off or on according to ambient light - in the dark they go on and when light hits the sensor they go off - bit pointless really.

Never used the TFT display so I can't answer the second query.
