I just took out my mat to shake off debris and found a soaking wet carpet and a puddle on the plastic heel guard. Any bright ideas?

I'm not entirely sure about 500's - I'm thinking about getting one which is why I'm on here!

But in my punto the windscreen drains would often get blocked and cause water to leak into the cabin. First thing to do would be check them out. If they're clear pour some water on the windscreen and check under the footwell for an obvious leak. Otherwise it could be leaking through door seals or the pillars

Thanks for the response, deagz. We've been rain-free recently 'darn sarf' but looking at a Stilo post, it could be a/c condensate.

Hi caz360. Marvellous. The car has recently come back from a crash repair centre after sustaining front & rear damage. Ironically, the Stop/Start hasn't been the same since either! Looks like I've got some calls to make tomorrow.

worth checking the "duck bills" under the wipers, AND the engine coolant level - as a leak from the Heater Matrix could also cause a damp footwell,
