Hello Fiat 500-friends out there,
I have the Fiat 500 TwinAir, and like the other 500's, it has gir wiring With 2 ball joints at the end of the cables, connecting the cables to the gearbox in the engine compartment.
I now Wonder, if these ball joints need any form of lubrication (multipurpose grease), and what is the easiest way to disconnect the wires from the ball joint? The wires are Connected to the ball joint With a green coloured link in plastic.
I can't notice any Lock washer at any of the ball joints? Som I recon, it's just to pull the green coloured link off, in a straight upwards direction? Or?

I'd very much appreciate an Answer before I start pulling...

Hello, TT...

The answer is quite simply, leave well alone. These joints are lubricated for life on all modern vehicles and very rarely, if ever, need to be disturbed.

The old adage 'if it ain't broke, don't try to fix it' rings true here :)
