Our order for a TA one of these is hopefully all ok , deposit paid etc a week ago, just wondered if any one else has one / or has one on order. They seem to be like the teeth of hens, will we be the only one................:slayer::slayer: hubba ..hubba...hubba..

Saw one today at Perrys Portsmouth whilst browsing the stock. Real stunner. The alloy wheels are something else. In the ads the white inserts look like plastic but in fact the entire wheel is alloy and the white part is painted onto the metal.

Must be the perfect car for a fashionable woman.......style personified! Send us some pics when you get it!

It's surely in the front running for the 'handbag car of the year' award. Truly a triumph of form over function.

To maximise the effect, the owner should wear a matching vintage '57 500 dress.

The alloy wheels are something else.

They most certainly are stylish, but (assuming the exposed alloy section is diamond cut after painting) IMO totally impractical for use in any country where they salt the roads in winter.

And I wonder what they'd look like after a visit to your typical tyre fitting centre.

...........................

Actually I rather like it and I'm envious. Fashion is rarely practical and it's nice to have beautiful things.

But I'm too mean to pay the price premium and besides, I wouldn't look good in the dress.

I have read all the moderator's notes & guides most carefully and nowhere does it say that I even have to wear a dress, much less be photographed in one.

Besides, Catrinel Menghia does it much better than I could ever manage.

Hi OP

I have the 1.2 Vintage on order in Volare Blue

Got to wait until end of July/start of August for delivery :-(

I've been looking out but haven't spied any on the roads. The salesman at the dealership said that since it had been on display everyone wanted one.

Not heard yet. Apparantly they are VERY ltd edition. We tried a multiplissimo of dealers, and they all said the same thin. They looked on their screen and IIRC there were about 7 left, thats 7 Vintage 57, some 1.2, some TA, some auto, and the different colours, so we got the last mint TA manual. Havent heard a date yet, I think they have forgotten about us.

Spoke to my dealer this morning as they hadn't mentioned anything about a shortage to me. They confirmed that mine is in the system and they were not aware of an issue, so hopefully all ok with mine.

All I can say JR is what an opt out!!!(y)

better not forget, they've got our deposit.

They don't sound like the greatest dealer to me. Especially when you factor in the comment below about another dealer not mentioning a shortage, and the fact that Fiat have been advertising the Vintage 57 on TV last week. I know Fiat UK work in mysterious ways but I can't see why they'd be advertising a car on national TV that they'd nearly run out of. Do you have paperwork confirming the order? Just don't want them to mess you around - some dealers are shockingly poor.

I was quite worried about what Stumpy said but thought the same about the advert. Also I thought the Vintage is a "Special Edition " as opposed to a "Limited Edition ".

Anyway I double checked my paperwork as well as speaking to my dealer and all seems in order.
