Had check engine message and quickly took it to usual garage. Plugged in and this was the message with intermittent as status.

No message has come up since.

What on earth could this be?!

Either a momentarily duff connection, or from the description I wonder if it's got cross about both brake and throttle being pressed at the same time for a long period of time.

I say long, because I presume it can handle heel and toe shifting.

It might be telling me off. I have pressed both pedals at the same time because I sometimes get a squeal from my brakes (pads only few months old and I should get them checked). Braking stops this noise.

I've not done this for a good few weeks though.

I've tried searching this on Google and it seems nobody has ever experienced it.

That would bring up this message.

When BSM used the 500s this message would often occur after a stall, or when the pupil tried to move away without pressing the accelerator enough.

The engine has been labouring, struggling to do what has been asked of it, and this has coincided with the brake pedal being pressed. Normally we use the accelerator to go, the brakes to slow or stop. Using them both together is a conflict, hence the message.

So your own car has told you off. Be nice to it.
