(edit: sorry for double post i forgot the attachments here they are)

greetings,

im from the qubo/fiorino forum cross posting because not getting much response there. this is a software question so it shouldnt matter.

my engine is a 2013 1.3MJ diesel with the dualogic auto tranny.

i just bought a registered version of MES software, and bought an ELM 327 cable from UK that had the "resistor mod" done to it.

i do NOT HAVE the yellow cable. i was under the impression that with the "resistor mod" done there was no need for the yellow cable but now i think im wrong about that because many modules are asking for it. i can successfully connect to the engine itself, but all others are asking for the yellow cable.

questions:

1) what does the yellow cable actually do? read a diff channel? why is it needed with the resistor-modified ELM 327 cable?
2) when i scan for my dualogic tranny, it finds it OK but when i connect, i get the "wrong ISO code" error, "do you want to continue"? when i say YES, it seems like im into the system because i can see stuff and have the opportunity to "execute" operation with actuators. however, MES the manual says, if you get this error, dont try doing anything because the the results may be off.

i also tried DL'ing the free fiat scan program but it looks like it was written by the same guy (same program looks), and, i also get same "wrong ISO code" error, "do you want to continue"? error.

error screenshots att'd

any ideas here?

The "resister mod" is just to make your ELM327 work. It doesn't replace the yellow cable. With the yellow cable you indeed connect to a different bus/channel than without it.

ok thanks. got it.

what about my dualogic connect ISO error?

it's not asking for the yellow cable here, it's aying the ISO is wrong...but it still connects.

the MSE manual says dont "execute" any commands in this situation with such an ISO error. which i havent. but maybe others have rec'd such errors and proceeded?

after all, this car is 2013 and ive downloaded latest MSE software version. should be in his database?

my car was bought in turkey...not sure if that could be an issue. i dont think so becuase fiat, and esp the 1.3 MJ diesel engine, is worldwide.

thx

can anyone respond with advice to my "dualogic connect ISO error" posted above?

can i proceed into the dualogic module safely even with such an error (because it lets me proceed in).

thanks.

Do you have a Qubo or a Fiorino? In your screenshot I see you selected the Fiorino, but there is also a Qubo in the list. If you have a Qubo, it might help if you select the Qubo.

For the gearbox you don't need the yellow cable. So it's no problem that you don't have that.

Apparently MultiEcuScan sees a gearbox but it doesn't recognise/support the one in your car. Ignoring the warning in the manual is fully at your own risk. It might work, but you might mess up things completely.

Do you use the most recent version (2.4) of MultiEcuScan?

Using FiatEcuScan is useless if you have MultiEcuScan, since FiatEcuScan was the predecessor of MultiEcuScan.

Fiorino

thanks for confirming.

thanks yes i have the most recent version of MES. i did try one execution command (pump up the dualogic accumulator i believe) and it worked, but i didnt risk other commands. i contacted the MES author, no response yet. this tranny is over 2 years old so am uncertain why it's not in his database yet. could it be that my car was bought in turkey and he doesnt have ISO codes over here yet? he would have to answer.

however, his 2.4 version DOES access my dualogic tranny, only, there's error nags previous to this event.

thanks didnt know this.

last question to you: any ideas on OTHER software which MAY/WOULD have my DL tranny ISO tag?

i really need a "safe" access to the tranny to do cal's 1X/year and to depressurize the accumulator when i do reservoir changes/etc.

if the author responds to me ill get back to this post. in meantime: any other s-w choices?

thanks again!

nedro018: I just noticed that support for the Marelli SELESPEED CFC308 Automatic Gearbox (Doblo, Fiorino, Qubo) was added to version 2.5 of MultiEcuScan. Maybe that solves your problem.
