Appears I've got all the tell tale signs of a clogged up egr... thought id attempt to replace it this weekend. but when i removed the engine cover, i noticed it was tucked all the way behind the engine - seems like a bit of a job to get to.

does anyone have a guide in terms of the best way to get at it, removing minimal components.

searched the internet, but no luck, on a fiat 500 1.3 multijet specifically..

I believe this is well covered in the grande punto section/panda section however it's an absolute bitch of a job to remove it, it's worth however disconnecting the induction pipes from the inlet manifold and giving them a damn good clean as these clog with thick soot deposits, then you can use something like wynns egr cleaner.

My MULTIJET is on 114,000miles and not needed a new egr yet, so worth exploring all options before tackling the job from hell
