General 500X... Orders & deliveries

Had a good look at one. Very premium inside but the boot is very small for the class of car.

Had a hired iX35 & it was much bigger, almost as premium inside with a shed load more kit & better warranty.

Good looking too but generic compared to the 500x.

Yeah, but the iX35 IS a bigger car, it's about 15 cm longer and a few cm wider.
If You compare engine and specs, it's about 25-50% more expensive here in Denmark, so it's not the main competition for the 500X.

RUI, I'd have to do my homework if choosing between the Renegade and 500X. If Jeep start using less 'fun' colours the decision would be easier! I own both makes and want a Jeat. I mean a Fiep. A Fiep Renegade X.

Totally agree with all this... The Renegade really appeals but the colours are mostly a bit extrovert for me. I do like the idea of a change from the usual choice of 50 shades of grey, but Jeep seem to have gone too far the other way.

I think they would benefit from offering a range of more subtle shades of metallic green, blue and bronze. Mind you I'm quite difficult to please ha ha

Can I ask if anyone has any links at Fiat?

Ordered a high spec cross plus 3 weeks ago and was told delivery and of July.

Now it seems the new factory are out of parts for the winter pack and this will cause further delays.
Think this is a bad move for a company telling people that they have a state of the art factory?

Anyone else ordered the winter pack?

Hello all.

Looked up a fiat owners forum to find out how people were faring with delivery. Ordered my 500x on Friday. Pop star 1.4 Multijet, in Passione Red, with sunroof. Was dreading the c.2-3 month wait but experiences here suggest that it could be longer? Plus the dealer tells me that apparently the Fiat factory closes down in August.... I really wanted my car in September, too!

Any other positive/negative experiences with the factory order deliveries? What have I let myself in for?

Fiat do shut down most of the factories during August. However, generally factory orders don't take more than 3 months, often less. I would be quietly confident that a car ordered before mid-June will be with you before the end of September.

Spoke to my dealership yesterday and fiat can't give them any updates on parts or delivery times lol

I know... Bloody nightmare, isn't it? I had a similar situation... Arm yourself with patience

If they were being helpful and keeping customers informed I would but it's fiat and they don't care about the customer

Grab your money and that's it

If the wife didn't like the car so much I'd go for a Mazda cx3 as same money better customer service

Well done Fiat for killing the 500x forum as no one can give any details on non existent cars

No winter packs till some time this month
Back orders are not being prioritised as I asked this and got a no and factory still shutting down so add another 4 weeks on top of your order

Have you noticed no one from fiat or the dealerships coming on here as they have f@@ked this up and everything is hush hush

Oh and don't bother complaining directly to fiat because they don't give a rats arse or care about delays

How can a huge company get it so wrong and not communicate with customers or dealerships

Their communication is generally woeful. Has been for a long time & probably won't change until sales totally dry up. It beggars belief how bad they can be, to the point there's not enough words I could say to management (especially in Fiat UK) to express how angry their tales of woe make me.

However, if you really want the car, for the sake of a heated windscreen & steering wheel I'd probably remove the Winter Pack and stand a chance of getting it sooner. Either that or leave the Winter Pack on & be one of the first to get a 65 plate. I wouldn't want to pick up a 15 plate now, with only 2 months left till 65 plate.

I've only seen 2 500X's on the roads so there's clearly big problems getting them built. Not v impressive :(

That's handy you want a 65 because no UK orders likely to be here till September anyway

Unless the car is completely basic then you have a chance

I don't want one - I was advising you!

Me & my wider family have owned 4 Fiats & 2 Alfa Romeos but we won't be ordering any new ones until they sort out their customer service.

In fact my Parents have just part exchanged their 500 for a Nissan Juke - Dad said there was no way he was spending £2k more on an equivalent 500X than what we could get a Juke for, only to have to face dealing with Fiats useless customer service that we've endured when dealing with problems with my Sisters Alfa MiTo.

If they want to charge a premium for their products, they need to take a hard look at the service & backup they offer.

I ordered a 500X in mid July and dealer estimated delivery by end of September. We shall see. I ordered a City Look Popstar in Passione red with 1.4Multiair engine and DDCT gearbox. Extras are steering wheel paddles, alarm and Visibility pack - I'm hoping the mirrors are electrically folding as it will make just that bit easier to get the car in and out of my garage.

Got my new X this friday. Love it.
