This thread isn't making a great deal of sense to me, but I have picked out the gist of it.
Why?
Because I have Maxi on my "ignore list" due to his combative nature.
BTW, I have no issue whatsoever with people having posts in an incorrect place. The mods are there to spring clean and sort. Just flag it up to them and they'll do the rest. It isn't up to us to complain.
Regards,
Mick.
I think you're misunderstanding it. The issue isn't so much things being posted in the wrong place. As far as I'm aware there is no rule against people pointing out the rules on the forum to others as I have done, obviously if I went around trying to enforce the rules and suggesting that people were to be banned or given infractions.
The issue seems to be people taking issue with me simply letting people know about the rules which I don't feel is an unreasonable thing tbh. What gives people the right to tell me what to do when I'm merely informing a newbie (educating them if you like) about the ways in which a forum works. Is it not important for everyone whether they be a member, admin, moderator or whatever to let new people know how the forum works as all forums are different.
I think this has been blown out of all proportion and the blame put on me for being hostile to a new member when all I did was let them know the rules......
