Next Bond movie will be shot in Rome in the new year, with a Fiat 500 car chase and a parachute descent by 007 onto the Ponte Sisto

True to form, the film will include a series of high-adrenaline car chases with some through Rome's narrow cobbled streets, which ends with one car flying in to the river Tiber.

In another pursuit, the iconic Fiat 500 ends up being crushed on the approach to the Vatican.

So there'll be a 007 edition 500 now too. Don't forget all the toys that come with a James bond release :D

Do pay attention 007! This 1.2 has been fitted with an engine which will make it up gradual gradients!

See it on the big screen!

For the very first time ever, 007 fails to kill the baddies - 'cos he couldn't get his car restarted on the hill to the villain's castle!!

relax guys no one said they would use the 1.2. I am assuming either the twinair or the abarth = )

Presumably featuring original 500's. Even so, I'm not sure it's worth enduring yet another Bond movie just to see that.

It doesn't say that Bond will be driving the 500, it could be the villains -- that would explain the poor 500 getting crushed ;)

I find this really amusing because one of my friends refers to my black 500C (in all seriousness) as a "James Bond car". I keep telling her that Bond wouldn't be caught dead driving one, but she insists the car has the Bond pedigree :D

If Bond drives the 500, it would have to be an Abarth for sure.

500C is the ideal Bond villain car, can fit 3+ minions firing submachineguns out of the open roof (y)

Bond will run to get in it and the door handle will fall off

/Bond brains two pursuing villains with handy door handle
/thanks FIAT for legendary improvised weapon utility

unrelated to Fiat or FF...

4 yrs is too long to wait for bond. I hope Sam Mendes does not direct this time, Skyfall was a big artificial yawn although it grossed hell of a lot. Bring Martin Campbell back (Casino Royale) but with more AM chases.

toodle pip.

edit: its Sam Mendes http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2379713/ hopefully Waltz will give the Djnago type performance.
