That’s about the same conclusion Iv made! It’s to bad that you don’t have the possibility to config the ccu via Can bus connection the same way you can do on modern premium cars.
I’ve already ventured in to building a fan control out of a resistor pack from the manually controlled climate control.
I don’t want to steel this thread but If any ones interested this is how the webasto unit connects to the CCU. And the issue is that even if the engine is hot and I switch the ignition with the key on off it will not restart the fan when the CCU is put in manual!
